JBT Marel Software, AXIN Solutions version 6.3.0, built in security upgrades

The latest updates align with incoming security regulations such as the EU’s NIS2 Directive and Cyber Resilience Act, along with tightening OT/IT compliance expectations worldwide. By building compliance readiness into the AXIN Solutions platform we continue to work towards the highest security level we can offer our customers.

What’s changing

• Encrypted communication everywhere. All communication between AXIN Solutions components—clients, servers, and factory-to-datacenter traffic—now support TLS encryption.  
• Authenticated messaging. The system’s internal messaging broker requires authentication before any connection is made, reducing exposure to unauthorized access on the OT network—a core requirement of emerging OT/IT blueprints. 
• Dedicated, modern authentication service. Login security is now centralized in its own hardened service, with automatic certificate management. There is no added complexity for your IT team, but a much stronger security position at every login. 
• Modernized platform foundation. The upgrade to .NET 10 brings built-in security protections and long-term support, while also cutting menu and system load times by up to 95 %. Compliance work that comes with a performance win. 
• No disruption to daily operations. Menus, views, reports, and workflows stay the same. Operators keep working the way they always have. The security upgrade occurs in the background, not on every day user screens.

Downtime from poor equipment maintenance would be unacceptable on a processing line.  A cyber incident that takes a plant offline, or fails an audit, has the same effect. Release 6.3 is about making sure your production software is ready for the compliance requirements on the way.
